Dr. Astin holds a Ph.D. from UC Irvine in Health Psychology and is the author of over 50 peer-reviewed publications focused on the field of mind-body and integrative health care. He is also the author of five books exploring the nature of human experience including his latest, "In Every Wave the Entirety of the Sea," In addition to his scholarly work, teaching and writing, Dr. Astin is also a singer, songwriter and recording artist having produced seven CDs of original contemplative music.
