Dr. Sharon O’Neil has over 25 years of experience in the field of special education, with extensive expertise in supporting students with significant and diverse needs. Throughout her career, she has served in various roles, including program specialist, behavior intervention case manager, SDC teacher (preschool through adult transition), teacher on special assignment, department chair, teacher induction mentor, and family support provider.

 

In addition to her work in public school education, Dr. O’Neil is dedicated to preparing the next generation of special educators. She teaches credential courses at several universities and enjoys supporting new teachers throughout their induction programs.

 

Dr. O’Neil holds a Doctorate in Education, an Education Specialist Credential, and an Administrative Services Credential. Her areas of expertise include special education program development, behavior intervention case management, teacher preparation, and inclusive practices.
