Dr. Tsehsien "Kelly" Vaughn is Interim Dean for the School of Education. She’s a passionate educator with expertise in higher education and K-12 settings. She holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University and master’s degrees from SFSU's Asian American Program (College of Ethnic Studies) and UCLA. Dr. Vaughn specializes in formative assessment, culturally relevant pedagogy, immigrant youth and identity, and online education. At the NDNU School of Education, she leads initiatives: 1. Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): Promoting well-being and resilience among educators and students. 2. Global and Regional Outreach: Building partnerships to enrich cultural understanding. 3. Enhancing Online Programs: Expanding access to high-quality education for all students. 4. Integrating AI-Powered Learning**: Utilizing technology to transform teaching and learning. Dr. Vaughn is dedicated to creating an inclusive educational environment that empowers both educators and students, focusing on equity and academic excellence.
